| ...where there are not only bi-annual smog tests, but (apparently) DUI checkpoint style mobile smog inspections. I never had any problems with my test pipes in GA, I lived there for 2 years. When I registered my car in GA (with failing CA smog results) they could care less, didn't even walk outside to look at my car, gave me plates and tags and had me on my way (for much cheaper than CA also.) Now that I read the DMV site, Gwinnett county requires smog (unless you can get a senior waiter!), so I'm assuming you live on that side of the county line (as opposed to Hall county, who doesn't care about smog). Isn't the smog check a one-time deal for your county?
